The question that who is behind these aliens was solved but not why they were created. The second question is how did Dr. Smith really survive? It was a really exciting moments to see Dr. Smith return back in the beginning of season three but it is still a question of how she survived after her demise in season two.

However, she had quoted that she hid inside a storage locker but the answer is not very pleasing to the audience. The third question is why did the good robot have a strong connection with Will Robinson?

The answer to this question was made in episode six and the reason is that he represents a future threat to their ongoing plans. But, the viewers expected a scientific fiction answer revolving around this question which has not been given.

It is also interesting to note that in the final episode the viewers saw a bad robot named Sally turn into a good one. And from all this it can be interpreted that season four of lost in space cannot be expected.
