Sweet Home Season 2 filming was about to start in December 2021, But there is not any update from Netflix or its Korean creators about the sequel of the series. As the Korean apocalyptic drama series was one of the most-watched Korean series before the release of Squid Game, so the fans are eagerly waiting for its renewal.
Although there is not any official comment or update from Netflix about Sweet Home Season 2 but as per the viewership and the demand of the upcoming season Netflix will ceratinly renew the show for season 2.
Besides this As per Soompi, The JTBC, Korean production studio of the show had shared news about its filming, they had said that the shooting for the Sweet Home Season 2 will start in winter.
Few online portals have also stated that the original cast like Lee Si-young and Park Gyu-young are sure to be returned in the upcoming season.
Season 1 of the show left the audience with a major cliffhanger where Sang-Wook had sacrificed his life to save the people of the apartment and Yu Ri. And Cha Hyun Soo is still alive in the military van.
As per the writer’s mood, we can state that Sang Wook any returns in Sweet Home Season 2 as he is one of the most important parts of the series and also the favorite one. As the creators may not disappoint the fans by declaring him dead. He can be in the intermediate process of becoming a monster or in the golden hour of his conversion.
Myeong may have taken possession of his body as he has taken possession of other humans.
In the last episode we had seen Eun Hyuk dead and buried under the same building but he could come back because of his regenerative powers and he had always helped her sister to survive so he may return in Season 2.
Although Netflix has not updated anything about season 2 of the show but, as it has been renewed and filming can be started very soon. So we can expect Season 2 in the mid of 2023.
although few users on Twitter have also said that Studio Dragon is planning to release Season 2 in 2022, which is next year.
