The Great British Bake Off: Holidays Season 4 Release Date, Trailer and Much more

Published by

The Great British Bake Off: Holidays Season 4 Updates: Netflix has released a trailer for The Great British Baking Show: Holidays, which will broadcast on December 1st. The fourth season of this holiday classic, which will air on the streaming service on December 3, will bring back some fan-favorite all-stars from past seasons to compete for the title of finest holiday baker once and for all… or at least until next year.

Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, as well as humorous hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas, are seen in the trailer welcoming back the “ghosts of bakers past” to the big tent for another round of festive bake-off fun.

Many of the returning bakers expressed their delight at being back in the tent, saying it felt as if they had “never left.” As their baking abilities are put to the test, talented culinary artists will face unexpected hurdles.

One of the competitions, in particular, appears to be pushing the bakers to their limits. They’ll need to build a “festive illusion cake,” which is a cake that appears like something else, as a teaser for a showstopper task (the last challenge of the week, which normally asks bakers to create a showy baked delicacy).

In the trailer, an unknown baker serves an entire turkey dinner cake, replete with peas, carrots, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and even gravy in a gravy boat, all of which are apparently made of pastry.

When Netflix picked up the English-made series, it became an instant hit in the United States. Coming from a world of high-octane, cutthroat food competitions, the easygoing bakers who were eager to help one other out when the timers were ticking down was refreshing for many.

The show has gone through several personnel changes, including the departure of Mary Berry, Hollywood’s original co-judge, as well as the beloved and much-missed original co-hosts, comedy duo Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc, who now star in their own show, Hitmen, which is unrelated to The Great British Baking Show.

Despite the host and judging changes, the show has managed to stay afloat by introducing new faces who bring their own flair and comic stylings to the series.

Get ready to sit on the couch with a bag of chips and yell at the TV as the bakers get soggy bottoms and vie to determine who will be declared the top baker of this charming holiday spinoff as the fourth season of this holiday tradition approaches.
