So, where do we begin? By getting some of the unpleasant news out of the way, to be precise. Because of Thanksgiving, CBS has decided to put the prequel to The Big Bang Theory on hold for at least a week.

It will return on Thursday, December 2, with an episode in which Sheldon tries to turn the university president into an adversary. Why? He fundamentally disagrees with several of her demands, and he intends to speak up about it.

Finally, if there’s one thing we know about Sheldon Cooper, it’s that he’s a man who isn’t afraid to speak his opinion – almost all of the time.

Let’s get right to the synopsis for Young Sheldon season 5 episode 8:

“A Den of Sin and the Grand Chancellor” – President Hagemeyer’s (Wendie Malick) unknown supervisor is at odds with Sheldon over the university’s science standards. Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 8 will release on Dec. 2 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+*, Mary discovers that Georgie is working at Meemaw’s illicit gambling facility.

We’re hoping to see more of Sheldon pursuing his university education this season, as well as the conflicts that arise as a result of it all. What’s fantastic about this season (and others) is that the authors have been patient with his development, allowing us to witness more and more of how he develops into the character we saw in the comedy.
