Following the announcement that the fourth and final season found a home on Netflix, creator Jeff Rake expressed his hope that season 4 would begin production by the end of 2021.

Actors and staff resumed operations in New York. The fourth season of this series will be the first season exclusively on Netflix after airing the first three seasons on NBC.

However, when those three seasons started streaming on Netflix in summer 2021, they quickly gained popularity and made history on the Netflix top 10.

As previously reported by What’s on Netflix before filming began, production is slated to commence on Nov. 18. Fans saw Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas reunited, as well as Matt Long making his way to set.

On November 18, creator Jeff Rake announced the official start of filming on Twitter with a photo from the set in New York City.

The latest word is that season 4 will be filmed for the remainder of 2021, though with a few short breaks around the holidays.

Production of this show will resume in 2022 and will continue for at least the summer.
