The Norwegian TV show Beforeigners was released on August 21, 2019. HBO Europe has developed its first Norwegian-language series.

The series is set in Oslo, wherein Bjrvika Bay, brilliant flashes of light arise. People from several eras appear in the present, including the Stone Age, the Viking Age, and the nineteenth century. A police officer, Lars Haaland, meets newcomers who speak Old Norse.

The so-called “Beforeigners” are still striving to assimilate into modern Norwegian culture after a few years. The majority of old Norse people are homeless and sleep in parks, although others in the nineteenth century found work as journalists, office workers, and instructors. The first season of the show consists of six episodes.

Isn’t that some type of good news? Season 2 began filming in October 2020, thanks to a film and television incentive plan that provided NOK 22 million in funding. Production was delayed due to COVID-19 constraints and Oslo shutdowns. The wait was really worth it.

That’s not it, though. HBO Max just published another official trailer a few hours ago. This trailer is also worth watching.

The first season centered on an unsolved prior crime, while the second season focuses on the legendary serial killer Jack the Ripper.
