The Expendables 4: Crew Members Were Injured During Shooting In Europe

Published by

The Expendables 4 Updates: During the production of Sylvester Stallone’s action film The Expendables 4, which is presently filming in Greece, two crew members were hurt.

One injury occurred during pre-production, according to producer Millennium, when a painter fell from a height. The painter was sent to the hospital for treatment, but he is said to have recovered.

A stuntman recently backed up a slow-moving truck over a camera assistant’s foot, causing the second injury. The assistant, we’ve been told, has fully recovered.

“The production of Expendables 4 is taking every measure to protect the safety of all staff,” a spokesperson for the company said.

The Lionsgate actioner is being shot in Thessaloniki, Greece, under the direction of Scott Waugh. Megan Fox, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Andy Garcia, Iko Uwais, 50 Cent, Levy Tran, Tony Jaa, and Randy Couture star alongside Stallone in the fourth installment.

The profitable franchise has a history of mishaps. During filming in Bulgaria in 2011, one stuntman died and another was injured. Kun Liu, 26, was killed on the Ognyanovo dam while performing on an inflatable boat. A year later, his parents filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Millennium Films.

Several of the franchise’s veteran actors have revealed their own injuries throughout the years, some of which can undoubtedly be attributable to aging.

During the promotion for The Expendables 3, Stallone revealed in 2014, “When I do The Expendables, I break my neck, my spine, and dislocate shoulders.” I had to put some metal in my back after falling.”

On the same shoot, Terry Crews described a “near-death” scenario with Jason Statham driving a truck into the Black Sea, while Antonio Banderas stated he sustained a persistent knee injury while running to leap into a helicopter on the first day of filming.

Terry Crews has previously spoken of a ‘near-death event on the same set, in which Jason Statham drove a truck into the Black Sea. Antonio Banderas, on the other hand, revealed that he sustained a persistent knee injury while running to leap into a helicopter on the first day of production. Following the tragic death of Alec Baldwin on the set of Rust, producers are under increased pressure to guarantee that the film’s health and safety standards are met.

Producers are under renewed pressure to implement tight health and safety precautions on set as a result of the Rust catastrophe.
