David Harbour to Cast in Holiday Thriller ‘Violent Night’

David Harbour Updates: Black Widow David Harbour Poster Social Featured Image via Disney. Things seem strange to David Harbour because he starred in Universal’s new thriller, Violent Night.

Harbour will star in a film directed by Norwegian director Tommy Virgola (Ted Snow, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters). The script was written by Sonic the Hedgehog writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller.

87 North is produced by David Leach, led by Chad Stohelski and Kelly McCormick. The company may be a recognizable name to close audiences, as it is the production company behind the John Wig ownership, the nuclear plant behind Charlize Theron’s, and the re-launch of the Kung Fu series currently airing on the CW.

The announcement of Harbour’s cast did not provide much information, but Violent Night is said to be a dark holiday thriller. Based on what Harbour showed when he wore the Red Guardian costume at 87North’s Resume and Black Widow, it is safe to assume that the film will be more of a thrill and brutal action scene.

Playing within the dark objects is not new to Virgola, as Ted Snow handles the zombie Nazis exiting their graves to run frantically over a group of students in the remote mountains of Norway. The film was brutal in its murders and never went away in anger.

Despite the gruesome elements, the film played with a little humor of the situation that could give itself to Harbour’s acting style because he exhibits humorous chops in his works.

It looks like another amazing feather in Casey and Miller’s caps, they not only wrote this original screenplay but Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is set to be released next year.

Following the video game adaptation will see the likes of Ben Schwartz, James Marston, and Jim Carrey, but Idris will introduce the Elba as the fan’s favorite knuckles. Collider recently revealed that Elba, popularly known as gender identity, will not bring his trademark sexual appeal to the character.

Violent Night is set to be released in the post-Thanksgiving period, which is always a good time to release holiday-themed movies with a release date of December 2, 2022.
