Speaking to the November issue for InStyle, the actress spoke about polishing her poses for the red carpet. She said, “Sometimes I do, actually, when I put on an outfit, I will occasionally look at it in the mirror and see what poses work with the silhouette. I do think a little bit about that.”

If at all there would be some advice that the actress would want to give to her younger self, Zendaya said that she would tell her younger self to preserve whatever one was doing and she continued, “When I was 14 and at my first movie premiere, my outfit was a bunch of stuff that I had from Target.

And I thought I was flying. I felt cool. To this day, I think that’s really all that matters. Then you know you’re doing the right thing.”

Law Roach who is also Zendaya’s stylist spoke to ELLE.com at the beginning of this year and disclosed many things as to what it was like dressing the actress, the person versus Zendaya in character as Marie in Malcolm & Marie.

Recalling she said, “I think there are some similarities, -It’s still Zendaya’s body & It’s still Zendaya’s physicality, which is beautiful; When we do things together, we always create a narrative or a character. There has to be a story behind why the clothes are chosen.

Who is she at that moment? It’s always been my job to create that narrative, to bring the pieces to the story. Then she takes them and becomes whoever it is and evokes whatever emotion we decided on. I put that into designing for Marie, too.”
