Director Of Suicide Squad , David Ayer Shares An Even Creepier Different Take At Jared Joke.

Published by

David Ayer  Updates: Director David Ayer of Suicide Squad has revealed a new image of Jared Leto as the Joker.

Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime has drawn on eyebrows (which appeared to be made up of “HA HA HA”s) and a broad smile inked onto his face in a photo posted to the director’s Instagram Story.

He also doesn’t have a “Damaged” tattoo on his forehead. The image looks to be a screen test prior to the finalization of Joker’s appearance in the film.

In Suicide Squad, Leto’s Joker was only visible for a few minutes, but he left an impression. Ayer previously stated that the picture was “torn to shreds” and that no Joker scenes were included. He remarked on Twitter, “My first act was a normally constructed film.”

“[Christopher] Nolan served as a source of inspiration for me. Between Jared and [Harley Quinn actor] Margot [Robbie], there were true scenes with tremendous acting. Joker was a scary character. Harley was a complicated character.”

Leto appeared in Zack Snyder’s Justice League for a brief cameo, and fans have long yearned for an “Ayer Cut” of Suicide Squad to see Ayer’s initial vision for the film.

However, as DC shot down rumors of it happening, that version of the film is unlikely to be released.

Meanwhile, Leto recently opened more about the controversial gifts he presented to his Suicide Squad co-stars “Any of the few gifts that were ever given were given in the spirit of joy and adventure, and they were welcomed in the spirit of laughing, fun, and adventure,” he said.

“Everything has been captured on film! It was all captured on film! People were dying one by one. We were simply enjoying ourselves.”

In Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, the actor will play Paolo Gucci with Adam Driver, Lady Gaga, Al Pacino, and Jeremy Irons.

He’ll also appear in the Marvel universe in Morbius, which will be released in 2022.
