Tom Cruise is brushing up on his flying skills in preparation for the upcoming Mission Impossible film. On Friday, Nov. 12, the 59-year-old actor was observed taking a lesson at Duxford Airfield in England.

After onlookers commented on how unfamiliar Tom appeared while at a baseball game with son Connor, 26, in early October, he began to look more like himself. As seen in the photographs HERE, he was dressed in a black sweater and dark denim trousers while going around.

The actor has been filming the seventh movie of Mission Impossible, which is set to hit theaters in September 2022. Filming was said to be completed in September. Tom’s dedication to Top Gun: Maverick promotional commitments, which were originally slated to film the seventh and eighth chapters back-to-back, were hampered by the COVID outbreak. It’s unknown when Mission: Impossible 8 will start filming, but it’s still set to hit theaters in July 2023.

Vanessa Kirby, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Henry Czerny will all reprise their roles in the upcoming film. Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, and Mark Gatiss will join them, as director Christopher McQuarrie previously stated. Tom made headlines last December when leaked audio of him berating the Mission: Impossible 7 team for not following COVID protocols surfaced.

Tom’s latest appearance in Duxford comes after he and his son Connor made a rare public appearance in San Francisco on October 9 at a baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Tom and Connor, whom he adopted with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, were all smiles as they watched the game and conversed with the crowd. (He and Nicole also have Isabella, a 28-year-old daughter.)

At the game, the actor shook hands and took photographs with fans. Photos of him from the event quickly went viral on the internet, with many commenting that he didn’t look like himself. The game was also one of Tom’s infrequent public appearances with his adult children, who both keep a low profile in public. Suri, the actor’s 15-year-old daughter with ex-wife Katie Holmes, is his other child. After six years of marriage, they divorced in 2012.
