Wendy Williams Shares Her Health Updates Amid Talk Show Absence

Wendy Williams Updates: Wendy Williams is directly addressing her supporters. In the midst of her vacation from The Wendy Williams Show, the 57-year-old TV personality came to Instagram on Monday to offer details about her health.

“What’s new with you? ALL OF YOU ARE MISSED BY ME!” Williams started her new job. “My health has been a heated topic, as everyone knows. I’m getting there, but it’s one of those things that take longer than we anticipated. I’m an older woman who understands the importance of listening to my physicians and will return to my purple chair as soon as everyone agrees I’m ready.”

“I want to thank every one of my team and our guest hosts for stepping up and filling in while I couldn’t be there,” she continued, referring to Leah Remini, Whitney Cummings, Sherri Shepherd, and Michael Rapaport, among the celebrities who have stepped in. “I’d also like to express my gratitude to Debmar-Mercury and our stations for their patience and support while I make my way back.”

Williams ended her letter by expressing gratitude to yet another important group.

“Above all, I want to express my gratitude to my fans. I’ve heard your prayers and read your remarks, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude!” Williams penned an essay. “To me, you are everything. I enjoy spending my mornings with you all, and I’m working hard to get back to work, but Wendy has to focus on Wendy right now. I appreciate you taking the time to watch.”

Williams has yet to host an episode of The Wendy Williams Show in season 14.

Williams tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19 in September, according to the show. The show’s season launch date was then pushed back to October 4 from September 20. It was later rescheduled, this time for Oct. 18, with guest hosts taking Williams’ place.

The show then revealed in October that its titular host was still dealing with health concerns as a result of her Graves’ disease and thyroid ailment.

Wendy remains under medical monitoring and meets with her medical team on a daily basis, according to the show’s Instagram account “She’s getting better, but Graves’ disease and her thyroid issue are causing her a lot of problems.” It has been concluded that she will require extra time before she can resume her live hosting duties.”

The statement went on to say, “We want her health to be her main concern.” “She’ll be back in her prized purple chair as soon as she’s ready.”

Wendy Williams’ talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, revealed earlier this month that she will not be returning in November. Bill Bellamy, Jerry Springer, and Steve Wilkos are among the upcoming guests.
