Travis Scott AstroWorld Lawsuits might cost ‘hundreds of millions of dollars.

Travis Scott Updates: Travis Scott must meet certain criteria, according to Texas attorney John Werner, in order to be held accountable for the sad deaths of nine concertgoers.

Travis Scott, 30, could be facing “hundreds of millions” of dollars in damages as a result of lawsuits filed and pending against him and others in the aftermath of the tragic AstroWorld festival catastrophe in Houston, Texas, on Nov. 5. In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Hollywood Life, Texas-based attorney John Werner of Reaud, Morgan & Quinn said that a settlement and compensation for victims could take “years.”

Despite the fact that attorney Werner is not currently representing anyone who was present at the event, he insists that those who have a “very strong” case. However, several variables will be considered before an award amount is determined.

“We don’t know what kind of contractual leverage Travis Scott had on the performance. It’s possible he had a contract that stated he was the only one who could put a stop to the program. “Perhaps the contract he signed indicated that only the security could stop the concert, or the deal stated that only the promoter could stop the show,” attorney Werner speculated.

Despite the fact that it is yet unknown who is to blame, Travis, artist Drake, 35, and Live Nation and NRG Park, among others, have been implicated in lawsuits filed by the families of those killed and injured. Attorney Werner spoke with Hollywood Life and provided valuable insight into why Travis may or may not be obliged to pay a large sum of money to individuals who came dangerously close to losing their lives, as well as the relatives of the deceased.

John Werner (John Werner): The plaintiffs’ case is extremely solid. The red lights were flashing everywhere with Travis Scott and his show history. He has already been charged with past offenses. Something went wrong if you go to a concert and about a dozen people die and nearly 100 people wind up in the hospital.

John Werner (John Werner): There are a lot of people who could be held accountable. Every party – whether a person or a company – will be held to the negligence standard under Texas law. Did they conduct appropriately or badly in light of the circumstances? Did they do something they shouldn’t have done or something they should have done but didn’t?

What are Travis Scott unique requirements?

The World News

John Werner (John Werner): A few questions must be answered after the evidence acquired during the investigation. What did he know about it? When did he realize it? What opportunity did he have to make a difference? We don’t know what kind of contractual leverage Travis Scott had on the performance.

It’s possible he had a contract that stated he was the only one who could put a stop to the program. Perhaps the contract he signed indicated that only the security could stop the concert, or that only the promoter could stop the show. Travis Scott may have retained some influence over event security, or he may have delegated that authority to spokespeople.

What are some of the issues that will be investigated throughout the investigation?

John Werner (John Werner): There will be a plethora of videos available. There will be tapes made. There will be testimony and eyewitnesses, as well as firsthand stories from individuals who were present. Anyone involved in the incident may have sent text messages or emails before, during, or after the occurrence. There will be social media posts. In this scenario, there are numerous factors to consider.

John Werner (John Werner): The jury in Texas is asked two questions at the start of the trial. The first question is whether or not each defendant, as well as all of these other parties, which might include the venue, security, and performers, were negligent. If they aren’t, they won’t be. If they respond affirmatively and declare that more than one party is at fault, the next inquiry will be, “What is the allocation of negligence?”

John Werner: The jury will have to assign 100 percent culpability to everyone who is found to be negligent. They may state 50%, 40%, and 10%, for example. They may say something like 50%/50%. They may say something like 49%/10%/50%. When determining the damages, they will have to divide 100 percentage points among all those they find negligent, and this will decide how much each defendant is responsible for

Overall, settlements or verdicts will be in the hundreds of millions of dollars, according to John Werner.

John Werner: From a legal sense, it reminds me of the Texas Petroleum Explosion. There are a lot of parallels in this circumstance. There were numerous events leading up to it, and then things quickly deteriorated. Then a large number of people were injured, and a large number of people were killed.

This will almost certainly continue for several years. It’s the same thing that happened in Las Vegas. Not only was it the shooter, but also the hotel and the venue, they discovered. These lawsuits were only recently settled.
