Chris Evans Updates: Towards Infinity … with Chris Evans! The first trailer for “Lightyear” was released on October 27, giving us a taste of the origin story of Buzz Lightyear.
Get ready to see a whole new side of the one and only Buzz Lightyear. The toy we all know and love from Toy Story was based on a real human of the same name. Lightyear will teach you all about real-life Buzz with Chris Evans at the helm.
In his early years, Buzz is a pilot who travels in space. It even flies * so close * to the sun. Buzz has an adorable cat who follows him everywhere when he returns to the mainland.
The final moments of the Lightyear trailer show Buzz face to face with his iconic spacesuit, the only action figure he would be modeled on.
A fellow pilot, in the same suit, tells Buzz, undefined undefined” And that will be every time I watch that trailer. Or listen to a Bowie song.
Or have thoughts by July because of nothing. It never made me feel more joy and gratitude than knowing that I’m a part of that and it’s pretty much always on my mind. ”
Chris was first announced as the new voice of Buzz Lightyear in December 2020 on Disney’s Investor Day. “I don’t even have the words,” the Captain America star tweeted after the announcement. He made sure to add, “And just to be clear, this isn’t Buzz Lightyear the toy.
This is the origin story of the Human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on. ”
Tim Allen was the voice of Buzz Lightyear for all 4 Toy Story films. Chris is not technically replacing Tim as That voice of Buzz. As the actor pointed out, they’re two different characters.
Chris is the human Buzz Lightyear, while Tim is the toy version we see in Toy Story. Lightyear will hit theaters in the summer of 2022.
