Ashley Olsen Spotted at the CDFA Fashion Awards Without Sister Mary-Kate

Ashley Olsen Updates: Ashley Olsen appeared stylish at the CFDA Fashion Awards, where she and her sister CODA were nominated for the American Accessory Designer of the Year award for The Row.

Ashley Olsen made a rare red carpet appearance at the 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City on Wednesday, November 10. The 35-year-old designer looked stylish in a timeless black trench coat from her fashion label The Row. The former sitcom star and her sister Mary Kate were named American Accessory Designer of the Year for their label.

CODA didn’t attend the ceremony held at The Pool in Manhattan on Wednesday night, but that didn’t stop Ashley from painting the city red (or black) and celebrating at the ceremony, which honors fashion excellence. Mary Kate designers and celebrities dressed to impress for the award, hosted by designer Tom Ford and actress Emily Blunt.

This year’s winners include Zendaya, who will receive the Fashion Icon Award; Anya TaylorJoy, ready to receive the Face of the Year award; and Dapper Dan, who will receive the Geoffrey Mary Kate Lifetime Achievement Award. Drew Barrymore, List, Ciara, Emily Ratajkowski, and Cara Delevingne were among the starred participants.

This isn’t the first time The Row, founded in 2006, has been recognized for its fashion contributions. Been and Man have received the CFDA award for Accessory Designer of the Year three times in previous awards: first in 2014, then in 2018, and again in 2019. The sisters also won the American Ashley Designer of the Year award. Mary Kate 2015.

Ashley’s exit on one of fashion’s hottest nights comes after she and CODA gave a rare interview in June about their decision to remain individuals. The notoriously private twins spoke to Vice’s Womenswear Magazine to celebrate The Row’s 15th anniversary, speaking candidly about their general avoidance of Hollywood.
