Ryan Reynolds Admits He Can’t Wait to Spend Quality Time with Blake Lively and Kids

Ryan Reynolds Updates: At the premiere of his new film ‘Red Notice,’ the ‘Deadpool’ star told Hollywood Life that he’s looking forward to unwinding during the Christmas season.

Nothing beats relaxing and spending time with family during the holidays! That’s exactly what Ryan Reynolds intends to do! The 45-year-old actor told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY at the launch of his new film Red Notice that he was looking forward to spending time with his wife Blake Lively, 34.

And their three children James, 6, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2. When opting to take a hiatus, he stated that quality time was his top priority.

Ryan told HL that he has no intention of retiring from acting anytime soon. “Well, I guess my purpose in taking a sabbatical is to spend as much quality time as possible with my kids at this age. “That doesn’t mean I’m going to retire or anything,” he clarified.

The Free Guy star and producer went on to say that the COVID-19 pandemic caused a number of his projects to be scheduled so close together and that he was looking forward to spending time with his family without the pressures of work.

“All I’ve done is travel back and forth, and the pandemic has brought everything together.” I’m finding that I’m losing out on activities that I don’t particularly enjoy.

So just being at home with my kids over the holidays with my wife, feeling at ease and relaxed, and not feeling like I have job to do or something to study or prepare for or train for anything like that, is enough for me. He told HL, “It’s just wonderful to take a little time.”

Ryan revealed his intention to take a “sabbatical” from filmmaking in an Instagram post on October 16 after wrapping his upcoming picture Spirited. Blake mocked him with a lighthearted remark, saying, “Michael Caine did it first.”

Ryan, on the other hand, appears to be very busy in 2021. He also appeared in Free Guy and The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife, as well as the upcoming films The Adam Project and Spirited, both of which are now in post-production, according to IMDb.
