He added that “But, people think these jokes come from me and they actually don’t. I mean, you’d be surprised at how many people come to me with ‘I got a great one.’ I’m like ‘okay.’ ‘I got another great Vin Diesel joke.’ ‘I’m sure you do.’ Always funny.”

Johnson and Diesel first stress their fightback in 2016, when Johnson has called out on one of his co-stars on Instagram from The Fate of the Furious and wrote “Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s— to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.”

He and Diesel settled their issues later on in a private meeting. In Men’s Health profile published in June, Diesel retrieved his work with Johnson years later. Diesel admitted that he used tough love while working with Johnson on the film.

He said that “I could give a lot of tough love,” he also added that “Not Felliniesque, but I would do anything I’d have to do in order to get performances in anything I’m producing.”
