Gigi Hadid Reacts to Zayn Malik’s Denial of ‘Striking’ Her Mother Yolanda checked

Gigi Hadid Updates: Following allegations of an apparent incident between her mother, Yolanda Hadid, and her boyfriend, Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid has spoken out.

On Thursday, Oct. 28, the model, who is 26 years old, made a statement through her agent. “Gigi is exclusively focused on Khai’s best interests,” a rep representative told E! News. “During this moment, she requests seclusion.”

Gigi made her comments after TMZ reported that Zayn “struck” Yolanda last week. In a statement to the site, the “Pillow talk” singer “adamantly” refuted the charges, saying, “For the sake of my daughter [Khai], I decline to share any further specifics, and I hope Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing our family difficulties in private.”

“A place where private family matters aren’t put out on the public stage for everyone to explore and tear apart,” he added. “I agreed not to defend allegations originating from an argument with a family member of my spouses who visited our home when my partner was gone several weeks ago in order to secure that area for her.”

“This was and still should be a private matter,” the former One Direction bandmate continued, “but it appears for the time being there is divisiveness, and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow me to co-parent my daughter in the manner that she deserves, this has been ‘leaked to the press.”

Since late 2015, Zayn and Gigi have been dating on and off. Gigi gave birth to Khai in September 2020. Yolanda, Bella Hadid, and Anwar Hadid, among Gigi’s loved ones, have spent particular time with baby Khai in the year afterward. It’s unknown whether Gigi and Zayn are still dating.
