Katy Perry Jokes While Guest-Hosting Ellen DeGeneres Show

Katy Perry Updates: On Monday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, new mom Katy Perry cracked jokes while comparing her life as a pop singer to her life as a mom. The “Firework” artist welcomed her daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020 with fiancĂ© Orlando Bloom.

Katy said she was “so, so proud” to be a mother. She has also realized that although her life has altered significantly, it has remained consistent in several aspects as well.

Katy Perry kept on gushing about her motherhood saying, that it is an experience like no other. Katy mentioned that now that she is a mother, she gets to experience the similarities between the lives of a mother and a pop star.

“You’re up all night, usually holding a bottle of some kind, there’s vomit on the floor, and your boobs are always out,” says Katy Perry.

Katy also spoke about raising her baby, who recently started talking. While talking to Entertainment Tonight, Katy revealed how Daisy thinks everything is a cat. Whenever someone walks in, Daisy is always like, “Hi, gato!” says Katy.

It is something that is quite surprising for her, as her fans refer to themselves as Katy Cats. She calls this connection “wild.” And she quite does not know as well that why is her daughter Daisy so obsessed with cats. But due to this connection, it feels like “destiny” to her.

Perry was also seen discussing her forthcoming Las Vegas residency with friend Luke Bryan on the Monday Episode of Ellen. Luke, who is also a judge on American Idol alongside Katy, has his own residency beginning in February. Bryan intended his catchphrase to be “try not to puke with Luke” because the program is set in Sin City.

Nevertheless, the country singer is taking more ideas from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley. Bryan admitted to having the ‘Elvis 33’ record from Elvis at the Hilton. They recorded a live album during the time.

Bryan admitted having deep Elvis roots. As a child, Bryan used to listen to Elvis live from Las Vegas in his room. That was one of his most important records.
