Jamie Foxx Explains Why He Won’t Get Married After Dating Katie Holmes for Six Years

Jamie Foxx Updates: Jamie Foxx, 53, has spoken out about his plans for the future, which do not include walking down the aisle. The actor stated that he does not want to marry because he believes that what is generally included in that type of lifestyle is not something he is interested in “I didn’t think the 2.5 kids, the wood-paneled on the station wagon, as well as the cottage were for me,” he told E! News Daily Pop in an interview on Oct. 18 while promoting his new book, Act Like You Got Some Sense.

Jamie, who famously dated Katie Holmes, 42, went on to explain that he believes his relationship with his daughters, Corrine, 27, and Annalise, 12, is better because he is never married. “A lot of those marriages failed as the children grew older.”

“Unfortunately, we saw the children become estranged from their families,” he said. “We actually got closer together. So, I’m not sure what that is; I just know it’s different, but it’s a lot of love.”

“I don’t think we can have a conversation about the pressures of marriage.” “I just keep moving,” Jamie explained before revealing that he keeps his family close to him.

“It was intentional for my entire family to live with me because I don’t want them to live away from my circumstance,” he added. “I want them to see and share what I’m going through.” There is a lot of hard work, a lot of disappointment, but there is also a lot to celebrate.”

Jamie’s latest remarks come after his high-profile relationship with Katie began in 2015. It lasted until 2019, and he’s been linked to other women since then, including singer Sela Valve. He was most recently seen having dinner with a beautiful mystery woman at Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California.

Jamie’s book, Act Like You’ve Got Some Sense, will be available on October 19th.
