Maya and the Three Updates: Jorge R. Gutiérrez’s Maya and The Three is going to release on Netflix on 22nd October 2021. The show is based on comics of the same name and is also written by Jorge R. Gutiérrez. The show is based on a fictional story plot.
The show is based on real Mesoamerican mythology. Maya’s original voice has been given by none other than Zoe Saldaña who had worked previously in bigger projects like Avatar, Star Trek, and many more projects. And also Alfred Molina is in the voice cast he is giving voice for the God of Wars.
Maya is a warrior princess who is celebrating her fifteenth birthday and suddenly a mysterious god appears and says she must repay for what sins her family committed. If she refuses the whole world will be destroyed so she accepts to repay them in order to save the world and she starts her journey.

GuideClearAnd during her journey, she will meet three warriors and they will help her to defeat those gods and she is going to save the world and humanity. The show will mainly focus on the journey of Maya the main character and how will she defeat those gods and will save the world.
The show was announced in the Netflix big event TUDUM. Although we got rumors about the show in 2018 it was put on hold due to some bigger Netflix series like “Dark”, “Money Heist” and many more and after that COVID delayed it for longer and is now in 2021 it is finally going to be released.
Now Netflix is officially is going to be in the competition under animation films and series. Netflix has put hundreds of staff for the animation stream with dozens of upcoming animation projects which clearly give us an overview that Netflix is ready to tackle other companies in the field of Animation.
