All Creatures Great and Small Season 3 Updates: All creatures great and small is a TV series that is aired on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom and PBS in the United States of America. This series is an adaptation of one of the old series also named All creatures great and small, which ran from 1978 to 1990.
The old series and as well as the new series is a story about a Yorkshire vet. The original story is written by the famous English writer Alf wright, his pen name for this story is James Herriot.
The producer of this series is Playground entertainment. The whole story is about a veterinary surgeon and his experience. The story is happening in 1937 and since then, so the story has all kinds of emotions ranging from war, pain, and others.
The new show got green light once it received the green light from screen Yorkshire. Screen Yorkshire funded a considerable amount of this production. The first season of the new show was released on 1st September 2020 in the United Kingdom on Channel 5 and 10th of January 2021 on PBS in the United Kingdom.
The second season of the show had 6 main episodes and in addition to that, it also included a Christmas special episode. The second season was started its premiere this year on 16th September. The original show contained a total of 90 episodes and it was telecasted on BBC.
The original show is still being reshown for some reason but some speculate that since the stories aren’t that similar so its still okay to watch both, now if you say that you don’t have any time for two shows then do watch the new show as it is being shot using modern techniques and therefore clearly has a better viewing experience.
It is been reported that a new season was underway as early as the first week of the second season but it wasn’t confirmed officially. In a recent Q&A with the press, the writer of the show told that they were looking forward to the third series and also added that it was no surprise.
As he pointed out, it is absolutely a no-brainer to launch a new season considering the success level of this show. The sheer story angle and the making alone deserves another go. Fans were so happy and to almost no surprise the show should go on for about 4 seasons at least considering the current state and its future potential. Thanks for reading.
