The Crown Season 5 Updates: Imelda Staunton will lead the new cast as Elizabeth II as we move towards the fifth season of the series depicting Peter Morgan’s royal biopic. The cast has been lined up for this Netflix biopic The Crown with a new look of the incoming Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales for the upcoming fifth season.
Dominic West is confirmed as Prince Charles taking the root of the character from Josh O’Connor while Tenet Elizabeth Debicki will be playing Prince Diana, a role which was been played by Emma Corrin for the fourth season of The Crown.
The Crown official Twitter account uploaded the first images of this season in which Charles was shown at his residence Highgrove while Diana is shot in a royal interior still holding her engagement ring. But both the pictures are shot at different places and in isolation.
The showrunner recently released the first image of brand new queen Imelda Staunton who will be playing the role of Queen Elizabeth II throughout the ’90s in the drama final two series. In the picture shared by the show’s Twitter account, the image of Staunton is spitting the behavior of HRH (his/her royal highness) with her grey curls, a yellow blouse, and a pearl necklace.

As we have seen a glimpse of Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, it will be very exciting for its official date of release with its cast Jonathan Pryce, Lesley Manville, Elizabeth Debicki, and Olivia Williams transforming into the Royal Family’s attire.
As the last season of The Crown collected more spectators than the actual Royal Wedding, spending Margaret Thatcher time as Prime Minister with viewers also meeting Princess Diana for the first time and her relationship with Prince Charles rise and fall in the period of 10 years.
We may be hoping that this Peter Morgan drama will be continuing in the future but the shoemaker has confirmed that the 3 sixth season will be the last outing.
Deadline has confirmed that the filming has started from July 2021 and the fifth season will be aired till 2022. Till then stay tuned for more updates………..
