Archer Season 12 Updates: Finally Archers Season 12 got released on Amazon Prime Video and it brings fan the best tribute to the actress Jessica Walter who use to give voice to the character of Malory in the show.
The actress has died on March 24th in her home in New York peacefully. She also got an Emmy Nomination after she died although she didn’t win. Before her death, she had completed her voiceover for this season.
This season also ended with such an emotional end to the character Malory in the series.
So admittedly the other seasons aren’t overly fresh in my mind but this season felt like it had some important things happen in episodes that then simply weren’t addressed the following episode, for example, how did the team get out of the whole Exo suit situation? and also they have Barry show up, have a whole episode based around him in which he and archer begin to bond, and then the episode ends and we don’t see barry again…
Archer Season 12 Tribute
Like it just felt like all the episodes were separate and there wasn’t that much of an overarching story. I thought we were going to see Archer really grow as a character and although he certainly shows growth at times we learn that Lana’s husband is kind of similar to Archer at least in his crudeness at that dinner they have and that Lana is accurately not entirely happy with him, suggesting to me that Archer isn’t going to have to get completely used to the new dynamic as it seems there’s a future divorce pending. I did like Cyril’s arc and the overall dynamic of Archer returning and bringing the worst out of everyone.
Also in the series, character Malory story ends with leaving behind the following note for her son:
And then we see her on an island with her husband which was a good and cliffhanger ending because after it she might not return.
Let’s not make theories but wait for Season 13 which might give us some answers and we will keep you updated about it.
