Stranger Things Season 4 New Trailer Released, and Much More

Stranger Things Season 4 Updates: Stranger Things star David Harbour teases the Netflix series’ impending end and how the events of Season 4 bring it closer.

Since the previous season of Netflix’s Stranger Things ended in 2019, fans have been waiting to see if the gang reunites and what fate befall Jim Hopper.

In an interview with Collider, actor David Harbour indicated the direction Stranger Things is heading in with Season 4 after remarking on the show’s bigger scope. “We’re introducing new material, but we’re also tightening and wrapping up in a certain way to make it have a clear, clean specified, and definitive finish at some point, which I can’t really discuss.”

During the marketing for Black Widow, Harbour told Collider, “[Stranger Things season 4 is] larger, that’s the first thing.” In breadth, scale, and even the realisation that we’re no longer in Hawkins. We’re bigger in terms of geography. We’re adding new things, but we’re also tightening and tying things up in a specific way. To have a clear, clean, particular, and definitive finish at some time, about which I can’t really speak.”

Furthermore, Harbour recently revealed what fans may anticipate from Hopper, who the residents of Hawkins think is dead after sacrificing his life to save others down in the secret Russian bunker where experiments on a gateway to the Upside Down were being performed. The conclusion of Season 3 showed that Hopper is still alive, but incarcerated in Kamchatka, Russia.

While it’s still unknown how his character survived, Harbour has hinted that season four will disclose more of his background in a callback to season two, when Eleven discovered boxes labelled “dad,” “Vietnam,” and “New York” in Hopper’s attic.

Fans will “see a lot of your favourite characters performing the stuff that you love them for… but you’ll also see them twist it and transform it into different colours and other flavours,” according to Harbour (via People).

Season 4 filming began in early 2020 but was forced to cease owing to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. In September, production restarted.

Netflix has yet to disclose how many episodes Season 4 will include, although insiders estimate that there will be about eight.

Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cary Elwes, Jake Busey, Maya Thurman-Hawke, and Levon Thurman-Hawke, and was created by the Duffer Brothers. A release date for Season 4 has yet to be announced.
