NCIS Season 19 Updates: NCIS will be back on CBS with the release of the 19th season with both new as well as familiar characters. Few fan-favorite characters will still be depicted in this series and cracking Navy crimes per week.
As two new series have been added to the cast but the question arises who will return, who will be gone and who will be making their debut in this series. The executive producer of this series Steven D. Binder has revealed that one character will surely return after the tragedy of season 18.
Season 18 of NCIS has shown two important characters exits- one that fans were knowing and the other that came as a shocking surprise. In the middle of the season, Mario Bello who played the role of Jack Sloane bid goodbye to the team and resides in Afghanistan to resume her late friend’s work. Before the season begins, Bello announces that she will be leaving the show in the middle of the season so her exit was not a shocking surprise.
In the finale of this show, Emily Wickersham playing the role of Agent Ellie Bishop whacked fans when she tells Agent Torres that she will be going undercover for a mysterious case. She set up her exit from NCIS for a cover story and said she also don’t know when she would be back.
NCIS Season 19 Returning Characters
After there is a spread of rumors for surrounding star and executive producer Mark Harmon playing the role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs,
approved in April that this 69-year old actor would come back for season 19.
The various reports claim that Harmon will be having a reduced role in the upcoming season. Harmon has been reducing his workload and cut down his screen time like his fellow friend OG David McCallum.
Season 18 has proved tragic for Gibbs’s close friend Tobias Fornell. At the end of the episode of episode 9, Gibbs meets with Fornell at the hospital after he found his daughter with a bottle of pills.
The episode ends when the doctor disclosed the news that Emily Fornell had died. And after that episode season’s focus was turned towards Gibbs suspension from NCIS. Binder confirmed that he would be back during an exchange of fans on Twitter.
