Wendy Williams Updates: Wendy Williams has been plagued by ongoing medical problems and has postponed the return of The Wendy Williams Show several times to welcome her recovery to COVID-19, and there is talk that Nick Cannon’s new integrated talk show, Nick Cannon, could take his time.
“The management was talking,” the source told page six. “They are looking forward to Williams’ recovery and hope for the best.
“It won’t be too long for Nick to take his time… Debmar-Mercury [who shows both shows] is trying to make Nick Cannon’s show a huge success. He still has a big stadium, and a big fanbase, so it’s an easy win,” the source continued. “So, if Wendy’s plan ends up not working, their backup plan is already in place.”
However, due to collaborative deals, simply moving Nick Cannon into The Wendy Williams Show could create some channel issues. “It is possible that they will make an agreement, but the decision is channel by channel,” the source told page six. Producers are catching an ant as Williams continues to push back his return, so it is possible to find more replacements.
The season was due to start on September 20, but Williams canceled the show’s coverage of the game on September 9 and postponed the show until October 4 after being convicted of COVID-19. On Thursday, the exhibition show was postponed again, until October 18th.
Wendy Williams Replacement
It appeared Williams was old enough to return to work on October 4 as his team began advertising for the first time on Instagram this week. On Tuesday, his band put on a makeover, assuring fans that there will be new episodes next week.
“THE WAIT IS OVER! Season 13 starts on MONDAY. You don’t want to miss it,” his team said. On Wednesday, his team began to count down, realizing that there were only five days left before the start of the season. However, on Thursday, his party announced that the October 4 show should not have taken place.
“Wendy will not be returning with new plans on October 4,” read a new statement. “She has a bee and continues to be under doctors and is not yet ready to return to work. We plan to return with new games on October 18.”
According to his team, the outbreak of the COVID case “is no longer a problem” as Williams was recently diagnosed without it. However, “it still faces some ongoing medical problems,” the statement concluded.
