Tom Hiddleston auditioned to play Thor?

Tom Hiddleston Updates: Thor’s first solo movie, The God of Thunder, was originally auditioned by Tom Hiddleston who did it with an American Accent. The Marvel Cinematic Universe started its journey with the first movie being Iron Man and slowly and steadily more and more characters came into existence and Avengers was introduced in 2011.

Thor and Loki were introduced in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. The God of Thunder went on to become a fan favorite and also had a solo movie and joined the Avengers on many adventures, while Loki was always swaying between an antagonist and an ally sometimes.

Loki was the main antagonist in the first-ever Avengers movie and he then returned in Thor’s Dark World and Ragnarok. He finally met his fate at the hands of Thanos in the Infinity War. Tom Hiddleston won the audience over with his performance and the time heist in Avengers: Endgame allowed Loki to escape and make his return in the TV show.

He was brought into the TVA after he messed up his escape with the Sacred Timeline. The first season of Loki was a hit and many fans were even waiting for what happens at the end but many questions remained unanswered. With season 2 in line, hopefully, the questions are answered and while they wait for the next season, there is a documentary being shown on Disney+ about the making of Loki.

WandaVision and The Falcom and the Winter Soldier also had their documentaries being released on the platform and fans enjoyed watching those while they waited for the next season to release.

Tom Hiddleston is not the only British Actor in the MCU, but imagining him as Thor would have made the show very different. The directors and the crew thought that he was better off playing the God of Mischief.
