Lawrence has had a very accomplished career but that does not mean her career lacks missed opportunities. She had lost out on a billion-dollar film like Alice in Wonderland. Lawrence said that most of the time she takes missed opportunities in stride but losing Alice in Wonderland had left her devastated. She lost the part because she couldn’t do a British accent and the part went to Mia Wasikowska.

Lawrence also lost a big opportunity on the small screen. She was a contender for the role of Serena on Gossip Girl. She faced tough competition and lost the role to Blake Lively. The creator of the show Josh Schwartz revealed that they did not realize at the time that Jennifer Lawrence wanted the role of Serena really badly.

Even though Lawrence Lost the part to Lively, the careers of both actors worked out well. Lawrence made it really big on the big screen and is now considered an A-list actress.
