Battlefield 2042 Adds Squad Revive and Other Updates

Battlefield 2042 Updates: The Squad Revive function was introduced by DICE in Battlefield 5 and EA has announced that this feature comes back to Battlefield 2042. According to Electronic Arts, the Squad Revive feature that was first introduced in 2018’s Battlefield 5 will return to the series in the next entry of the game in Battlefield 2042.

This ability is also called Buddy Revive. This allowed players to revive allies, even the non medics can revive their allies once they are in a downed state. This ability is good on the paper but in action, it might actually decide whether you stay in the match or not because this action takes time but if in that time the enemies push you can die.

After many months of leaks and rumors, EA and DICE revealed Battlefield 2042 many days earlier to E3 2021. A trailer was shown days later during the Xbox and Bethesda E3 presentation.

For example, the All-Out Warfare mode will allow players from PC, PS5 and Xbox will be able to join the same 128 player lobby. A few specialist characters will have access to robot dogs as well. EA divulged as much upon outlining the benefits that come with Falck, a Specialist with access to a Combat Surgeon Trait that revives squamates to full health.

This gives her an advantage over players using Squad Revive, which we’re bringing back to Battlefield 2042,” the post reads. Notably, Squad Revive is at a disadvantage as it doesn’t bring allies back to full health and takes longer to implement.

Despite the drawbacks, Squad Revive will definitely make the game more fun as players will have a chance to get revived and come back into the game rather than waiting for their friends to finish the game. This makes the game more fun and many players will like this feature especially the new players who have not yet tried this mode.

DICE and EA are planning to share more details about this game and more features to be released in the game. Make sure to stay tuned for more updates and let us know what you think about this feature coming back to Battlefield 2042.
