Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Updates: October is Halloween month and for that Hometown is the perfect remedy! Horror mixed with suspense bringing out the depths and secrets of the 1990s. By the production company who brought us “Crash Landing on You” “Legend of blue sea” with many others, bringing us this skin crippling drama. The story not only portrays one story it works on 3 different stories on the same timeline which makes it altogether more exciting than it already is.

Set in 1999 and 1989 this show goes back and forth past and the present to reveal the truth behind the death of Choi Huyng-In’s wife who works as a detective. his wife dies in 1989 but he has not yet gotten over the incident and keeps drowning in the guilt.

Parallel to this  Jo Jung-Hyun is labeled as a member of a terrorist’s family after her older brother took part in a terrorist attack; which also made her life miserable. She was able to rebuild everything with her niece, who is the daughter of her older brother. But all comes crumbling down when she goes missing and Jo Jung-Hyun struggles to find her.

Jo Kyung-Ho a cryptic convict, who back in 1989, return to South Korea, after studying in Japan and who also allegedly released sarin gas at a train station in his hometown. To which he surrendered himself and was given a life sentence.

Will these 3 different personalities ever are in contact and if they will how?

Choi Huyng-In played by Yoo Jae Myung who we know from the famous dramas as “Itaewon class” and “Vincenzo”. And many others where we have seen him play a great role of father/guardian/role-model etc.

Jo Jung-Hyun played by Han Ye-ri, the 36-year-old actress, dancer, and singer known for her extraordinary work in “Minari”, “Worst woman” and “sea fog”.

Jo Kyung-Ho played by Uhm Tae-goo is a handsome actor known for his supporting roles in many shows such as ” The age of shadows”, ” I saw the devil” etc.

This series is not just mystery and thriller, This show has the real horror component we are asking for. From the occasional Jump-scares to a woman laden in white. The horror flick is being turned into something that the viewers are going to look forward to.

With 12 episodes each airing every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 pm KST, The show is set to premiere on 22nd September 2021. The show is going to air on tvN and other Korean streaming platforms.

Well, we are just waiting to get spooked!
