Spider-Man: No Way Home: Zendaya discusses her future in the MCU

Published by

Spider-Man: No Way Home Updates: Zendaya, who stars Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has spoken up on what will happen to her character and the series following No Way Home. However, the news isn’t all good.

The actress was questioned about reuniting with the actors of Spider-Man on the set of the latest movie in a recent interview with E! about her forthcoming part in Space Jam: A New Legacy.

“It was, I don’t know, so much fun but also sort of bittersweet,” Zendaya said, hinting that she could know more about Spider-future Man’s than we do.

“We don’t know whether we’re going to do another one, like is it just going to be three and done?” she continued, keeping things ambiguous. Normally, you’d do three movies and be done with it.

“So I think we were all just soaking and taking the time to just appreciate being with one other and being so appreciative for that experience because we’ve been doing it since I was like – I did my first movie [when] I was like 19.”

Is Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy really “three and done”?

While Zendaya is correct that most films are made in the trilogy, there doesn’t appear to be much evidence to support that idea inside the MCU.

Avengers: Endgame was the fourth Avengers picture, Thor is getting a fourth feature with Love and Thunder, and Iron Man 4 has been discussed for a time.

After three films, we are left with only Captain America, with a third film in the pipeline for both Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man. But, like Spider-Man, all three of these films might see further sequels in the future.

Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel will all reach the two-movie mark with their upcoming movies.

In the MCU, there doesn’t appear to be a rule of three. So, would we still believe Zendaya regarding Spider-Man’s future?
