Ozark Season 4 Updates: Season 3 of Ozark concluded a few months ago with a bang. We won’t give anything away in case you haven’t seen the show yet, but it’s a jaw-dropping ending. As a result, it’s understandable that fans of the crime thriller are still on the edge of their seats, eager to see what happens next. The good news is that Ozark season 4 will premiere in October 2020. The bad news is that they don’t appear to be finished just yet.
Season 4 Details
Because of the COVID-19 standards that must be followed, as well as the fact that the final season is being prolonged, filming may take longer than in prior seasons. Netflix has chosen to extend season 4 by four episodes, which will be divided into two parts. There will be a total of 14 episodes, with the first seven airing before the final one.
While fans are hoping for a 2021 launch, Ozark season 4 appears to be heading towards a 2022 premiere. Variety Insight reports that the final season will not begin filming until October 8, 2021, as previously predicted. We’re not convinced the show will be able to pull it off with only a few months left to finish post-production this year.
Plus, the absence of activity from Netflix is the most telling sign that Ozark season 4 may not be released until 2022. Netflix issued a Q1 shareholder letter in April of this year, revealing some of the most anticipated films coming to the platform this year. You season 3, The Witcher season 2, Sex Education season 3, and Money Heist season 5 were among the shows. Season 4 was not listed, and one would expect that if a show’s final season was coming in 2021, it would be included here.
Ozark Season 4 Release Date
I’d be surprised if Netflix surprised us with Ozark season 4, and with the clock ticking, they’ll have to reveal the release date soon if it’s set for 2021. Of course, I’d love to be shocked when Ozark season 4 premieres on Netflix in 2021.
