Kanye West Changes His Name

Kanye West Updates: According to a report to TMZ, Kanye West is changing his name to “Ye” by the end of August. The process for this name change is pretty simple and there seems to be no reason for Kanye West that he’d be turned down.

West has asked a judge to be legally acknowledged by the monosyllabic name he has used for many years.
Although the review process is undergoing and it isn’t a hardcore process to get the name changed in California yet there is no confirmation yet as to how and when all of this will work out.

The process of the review is only primarily to check that the chance cannot take on to be fraud or any illegal conduct and obviously a name as noteworthy as West will require more time than others; still West has to await the approval of the Judge to undergo the changes required.

The fans and general public as well question this decision of his name change; many reckon that it has something to do with the divorce from his partner, Kim Kardashian who is still entitled to the name Kim Kardashian West as her official surname.

The children of Kanye and Kim share the last name of West as well. Some have suggested the name change for the differences between the partners while some have suggested that all these have some related connections to ‘Donda’ which is his upcoming album which is name after his mother to whom he was very close.

West has always spoken about his family, heritage and been open about his family and relationships but still, this name change maybe is a fresh start following his album release.

Needless to say, many fans assume that this name change is related to Prince, the singer who also legally changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol for a short period of time. Prince had changed his name owing to the legal dispute with Warner Bros.

The official release date for the album has been changed many times by Kanye West but reports tell us that it is to be released sometime by the 27th August 2021. All this has any link to his name change or not is yet confirmed as of yet.
