However, when he moved on to the most difficult level Death March, he had to have three goes to get past the Ghouls at the beginning. Cavill described the level as ‘the not-fun way to play the game’. Cavill said that he was disappointed in himself for failing to beat the game.

However, it did not dissuade Cavill and he plans on playing on Blood and Broken Bones once more to regain his skills before coming back to Death March. He said that he wants to play The Witcher 3 at least once more in order to acquaint himself with the expansions and experience them for the first time.

Cavill revealed that he first got into the RPG series with The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, but stopped playing it when he got too busy. Cavill declared that Witcher 3 was actually what got him hooked. The superior graphics played an integral part in the experience. Cavill plays the game on the elusive GTX 3090 graphics card. The way Cavill talked about the game and his experience shows that he is truly a fan of The Witcher games.

Though Henry Cavill failed to beat The Witcher 3 at Death March, it doesn’t speak for his skills at the game as he managed to tackle Blood and Broken Bones several times which is no easy feat either. However, it is unclear if Cavill used the New Game + features which allows the players to tackle the difficulties with the skills and weapons they earned in the previous levels.

Players who think that they can outdo Cavill may try their hand at the Death March. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Upgrades for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will arrive sometime in late 2021.
