The Veil/Black sun a spy/action/thriller television series written by Park Soek-ho who won the best Drama screenplay contest in 2018 by MBC. This show has received a 15 billion won investment from MBC itself and has been labeled as “MBC’s 60 th anniversary special project”.
The story involves an underground National Intelligence Service (NIS) spy best in his job who comes on the surface after going MIA for a year during a mission on the China-North Korea border. To add a wound on the salt he has also lost his memory because of his state. Trying to solve the mystery of an internal traitor who had backstabbed him. Having no one to trust around he has to navigate, face his memories.
Playing the role of Ji-huyk as the spy is Namkoong Min who is a very popular actor, director, and a great screenwriter too. He is praised for his work in remember, war of son, a good manager with many more.
Playing in the lead role with Namkoong Min are Park Ha-sun and Kim Ji-eun playing Seo Soo-yeon and Yoo Je-yi respectively as Ji-hyuk’s co-worker at NIS. Park Ha-sun is known for Two weeks and the Birth care center is playing Seo Soo-yeon the head of criminal information integration Centre.
Kim Ji-eun the actor, singer, and model known for Long Live The King and hell is other people is playing Ji-Hyuk’s partner who has graduated early from KAIST a national research university in south Korea.
The 12-episode series will be going to release on September 17, 2021, and will be going air on MBC and some other Korean movies/Show distributer. The show will conclude on 7 th October as it will release every Friday and Saturday at 10:00 pm KST. This will be MBC’s first Friday-Saturday drama.
