Open Season 2 Coming to Netflix: Should you try it out for Your Kid?

Open Season 2 is coming to Netflix: If you have a kid who’s interested in animated comedy movies to watch on a weekend at home, and come across Open Season 2(2008). This is what you need to know! It shows a life of a deer questioning his looming marriage. There’s also a dog who apparently has lived in the wild since forever, comes back to the ‘normal world. It’s funny and rather simplistic where domestic pets Vs wild animals’ scenario is built. It may consist of a few of the ‘adult’ humorous words such as nuts or rack. But it still reaps with the childhood innocence of
animals talking, which are perhaps not so mature.

There’s plenty of cartoonish-blooper and aggressive action scenes. Though, Fifi saying “I have had it! No more! The wild animals have pushed me too far! The next Wild I see crawl out of that forest, if they don’t have their papers, they are getting a full-Fifi- smackdown! This… Is… War!” has the power to make you at least chuckle in its own silly way.

Open Season 2 Storyline

Open Season 2

The storyline revolves around Elliot, who rushes off to take the lead in the mission of Mr. Weenie’s rescue. After he falls head over heels in love with Giselle, Elliot takes a detour from the ongoing situation and focuses on saving Mr. Weenie, who is kidnapped by the domestic pets. Gradually, Elliot who was adamant about helping the dog was coming to terms with the fact that he will need the help of his significant other and friends. Even after the commitment issues and anxiety-ridden love route, Giselle is loyally taken by him.

It is a very common yet accurate saying that, the first is the gold and the second is the silver. This is a great example with most of the movies, which end up making a sequel. Thus, there is a loss of star voices compared to the original. It is still quite amusing and entertaining with the slightly exaggerated voiceovers and expressions. It works wonders with unique characters like the poodle and the squirrel.

Well in the long run, if we see the bigger picture, the movie delivers a delightful message about the devotion between owners and their pets. The original of the movie is a must-watch however, there’s no absolute need. The kids would easily be able to follow through the storyline just fine.
