Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown discusses celebrity style icons and her favourite red carpet outfit.

Millie Bobby Brown Updates: “Working on Stranger Things opened my eyes to the aesthetic and mainstays of the ’80s.” Millie Bobby Brown has established herself as a force to be reckoned with since her debut as Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things in 2016.
In addition to her award-winning acting career, recent foray into producing, and designation as UNICEF’s youngest Goodwill Ambassador, the 17-year-old is one of the most prominent Gen-Z fashion icons.
Millie’s fashion style is equal parts fre$h and elegant, whether she’s wowing fans with her distinctive red carpet outfits, embracing the newest TikTok trends, or launching her own cosmetics brand.
To celebrate the release of her new Pandora Me collection, we spoke with Millie about her style development, favorite celebrity icons, and Stranger Things season 4.
How has your style evolved in the last few years?
Style evolves all the time, and my own style is no exception. That is the allure of fashion. My style has evolved from boho chic to dazzling sparkles to cozy sweats and back again since I was a little child.
What is your favorite red-carpet outfit you’ve ever worn, and why?
It’s difficult to pick just one moment because each one holds particular importance for me. If I had to pick one, I’d go with the Calvin Klein By Appointment outfit I wore to my first Emmys as a nominee in 2017. It was all I had hoped for and imagined for that event.

Are there any outfits Millie Bobby Brown now regret wearing?

ELLE
I make efforts not to live my life in regret. Over the years, there may have been an amusing airplane look or two… However, comfort is always a priority!
Which fashion icon is your favorite, and why?
I don’t know whether I have a favorite, but Audrey Hepburn usually comes to mind as someone who radiates elegance and grace. Having said that, I believe Zendaya makes extremely unique fashion choices and always looks great!
How has your style been influenced by the Stranger Things wardrobe?
To be honest, I’m not convinced it has. Working on Stranger Things has certainly opened my eyes to the aesthetic and mainstays of the 1980s, which has been an enjoyable experience. The colors, patterns, and volume. But I wouldn’t say I’ve incorporated it into my unique style that much.
What has been the best and worst part of filming Stranger Things season 4 so far, and why?
We were disappointed that we would have to wait until season 4 to begin filming, but we understood that it was necessary to ensure everyone’s safety due to the pandemic. I consider myself fortunate that we were able to return to work at all. The nicest part about filming this season is being able to return to this character I adore. Eleven is in for a thrilling season this year!
What’s the significance of the compass charm in your new Pandora Me collection?
I adore the ‘My Compass’ charm and what it stands for. The idea behind this design is that you may wear it as a daily reminder to follow your heart wherever it leads you, even if it takes you down a less-traveled path. The collection is all about expressing oneself through the charms, and I love that you can wear them every day as a representation of yourself.
One of the other charms depicts a fortunate four-leaf clover; can you tell us about a time when you had a “pinch me” moment?
My talisman of good fortune. Working with Pandora as an Ambassador for Pandora Me has been a “pinch me” moment in my career. I’ve been a big fan of Pandora since I was a kid, so it’s been a dream come true to continue working with a company that’s all about self-expression and provides something for everyone out there. Another ‘pinch me’ event was being named UNICEF’s youngest Goodwill Ambassador — it’s a great honor, and I have so much love and appreciation for UNICEF’s work.
