See Season 2 Updates: Steven Knight’s sci-fi drama See, along with For All Mankind and Dickinson, was instrumental in the introduction of Apple TV+ two years ago. Whereas Dickinson and For All Mankind toyed with history, See is a dystopian novel set in a world where a virus has wiped off a large portion of humanity, leaving survivors and most of their descendants blind.
Though not as innovative as its rivals in its first season, the action-packed series nonetheless boasted amazing production values, Alfre Woodard’s consistently excellent performance as Paris, and Jason Momoa as Baba Voss (no connection to the bottled water people—at least not yet).
After beating Jerlamarel (Joshua Henry), a sighted guy who’d been fathering babies like Kofun (who is also sighted) because he thought himself a savior, Baba Voss (no, you can’t just call him “Baba”) was reunited with his stepson Kofun (Archie Madekwe).
But first, Jerlamarel gave General Edo Voss his daughter Haniwa (Nesta Cooper), Kofun’s sister. In terms of family reunions, Maghra (Hera Hilmar) returned to the side of her sister, Queen Kane (Sylvia Hoeks), the queen of prayer masturbation, in the season one finale.

Dave Bautista, who plays Edo Voss, Baba Voss’ brother (and the only person permitted to omit the “Voss” in “Baba Voss”), joins the intriguing ensemble for season two. If Edo has kidnapped Haniwa, there must be some unresolved family issues, right? In this exclusive featurette from season two, we’ll let Dave Bautista address that question.
Baba Voss had previously dealt with one conceited opponent who believed in the power of seeing people; Edo Voss, who is blind like the majority of See’s population, appears to be equally dedicated to figuring out how to restore vision.
(The hiring of blind and low-vision performers, as well as Joe Strechay’s attentive consulting work, help to alleviate this obsession with vision.)
Is this why he’s taken his stepdaughter back to his fortress? While we’re about it, why did Baba refer to his and Edo’s father as still unnamed? More action and sword-wielding by Momoa are promised in the featurette, as well as Maghra’s new role as Kanzua’s co-ruler (surely, someone named Queen Kane knows how to share).
