Doom Patrol Season 3: Michelle Gomez as Madame Rouge is shown in photos for the first time

Doom Patrol Season 3 Updates: On September 23rd, Doom Patrol returns for Season 3, and now we’re getting our first look at one of the new characters fans can expect when the season launches on HBO Max in less than a month. Michelle Gomez, who starred in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, has been cast as Madame Rouge, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Madam Rouge will be a “complex and fascinating eccentric, who arrives at Doom Manor with a very particular goal… if only she could remember it,” according to Gomez’s casting for the series, which was revealed earlier this year.
According to the season synopsis, Gomez’s Madame Rouge will come in a time machine as part of Season 3, however, how that will fit into the season, which looks like it will be a crazy trip based on the just-released teaser, remains to be seen. What is certain is that Doom Patrol’s Madame Rouge will be as complex as any character the program has seen thus far.
“I was trying to convey to her that in our views, the Madame Rouge of Doom Patrol is much like the other characters in that you can’t fully identify them as good or bad,” showrunner Jeremy Carver said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “They’ve all done things they’re embarrassed by, but it doesn’t mean they’re horrible people.

This struggle with the question of “Am I nice or bad?” is at the center of Michelle’s character journey this season, and she gets more comedy or tragedy out of a sentence than just about anybody. What she contributes to the event is really exciting, in my opinion.”
Brendan Fraser plays Robotman, aka Cliff Steele; Matt Bomer plays Negative Man, aka Larry Trainor; April Bowlby plays Elasti-Woman, aka Rita Farr; Diane Guerrero plays Crazy Jane; Joivan Wade plays Cyborg, aka Victor Stone; Abi Monterey plays Dorothy; and Timothy Dalton plays The Chief, aka Niles Caulder in Doom Patrol.
“Season three begins with Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) final showdown with the Candlemaker, which results in a terrible loss. The Doom Patrol is at a fork in the road, and each member is grappling with who they are and want to be. When Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) appears in a time machine with a very particular assignment, if only she could remember it, things get even more complex.”
Season 3 of Doom Patrol will release on HBO Max on September 23rd. The first two seasons are now accessible to watch online.
