Woke Season 2: Aimee Garcia To Join Hulu’s Series

Woke Season 2 Updates: Keith Knight’s life and career inspired the hybrid live-action/animated original comedy series. “Woke” is a hilariously satirical look at identity and society that follows Keef, an African-American cartoonist on the edge of mainstream fame when an unforeseen incident alters everything.
With a new perspective on the world, Keef must now manage the new voices and ideas that confront and challenge him, all while not ruining what he’s already achieved.

Woke Season 2: Garcia plays Laura Salgado

Garcia will portray Laura Salgado, a charming but powerful self-made Silicon Valley venture investor interested in partnering with Knight, in the show’s second season.
Woke is executive produced by Knight and Todd, as well as Maurice “Mo” Marable, Richie Schwartz, John Will, Will Gluck, and Eric Christian Olsen. Season 2 will also have Anthony King as an executive producer.
She played Maria on The WB’s Greetings from Tucson and was featured in the pilot episode of Global Frequency, which was never shown. She appeared in the Disney Channel original film Cadet Kelly (2002) and co-starred in the WB sitcom All About the Andersons as Lydia with Anthony Anderson. She made her television debut in 2006 as Lopez’s niece in the sitcom George Lopez.
