Hotel Transylvania 4 skipping theaters, straight to Amazon

Hotel Transylvania 4 Updates: Hotel Transylvania: Transformation is ready to be set their streaming worldwide on Amazon Prime Video and skip a theatrical release.
Sony Pictures Animation is skipping the theatrical release for its next film Hotel Transylvania: Transformation instead of choosing the streaming-only release service. This animation monster movie was a hit success for the studio after the release of the first Hotel Transylvania in 2012.
This is the fourth and final installment of this movie which involves many characters like Dracula and his daughter Mavis and their monster friends who have transformed into humans. Meantime, Johnny who is Drac’s human son-in-law turned into a dragon after he gets infected due to a malfunction called “Monsterfication Ray.”
The transformation was first set to release in theatre on July 23, 2021, but Sony put the brakes and delayed it till October 1 as Peter Rabbit 2 underperformed in the box office.
And as the Delta variant was at a peak and no vaccines were allotted to the age group of children under age group 12, the confidence of studio for family films of releasing it into the theatres was completely shaken. So as a result it was stated that Sony Pictures will surpass the road of box office and send Transformation directly for streaming.

Hotel Transylvania 4 in Theaters

It has been confirmed that Hotel Transylvania film will not be getting released in theatre as Sony and Amazon are making a $100 million deal for Transformation to stream it worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
We can just assume that the release date of this movie will be October but it is not fixed as this monster movie is an alternative to the major films like Last Night In Soho and Halloween Kills. As streaming online is on the peak and COVID-19 cases are increasing, streaming is the best option for Sony for his last film of the franchise.
This is the only and important studio that does not focus on streaming services. This studio has released most of its films on different services between 2020 and 2021. The last three animated films of Sony Pictures was The Mitchells Vs The Machines, Wish Dragon, and Vivo were released on Netflix making a choice to release Transformation too.
As the franchise has decided something and has confidence it will be a hit no matter on what device it lands on. Direct streaming for Hotel Translyvania: Transformation may seem unorthodox due to their 1.3 billion in the first three movies but this is Sony’s best move for families and fans for the series in long run.
