Titans Season 3 Proves DC Should’ve Made A Nightwing Spinoff

Titans Season 3 Updates: With just 13 episodes per season, Titans may benefit from having two separate shows set in the same universe.
Since the first season, Dick Grayson’s metamorphosis from Robin to Nightwing has been a significant subplot in the show, arguably to the disadvantage of other equally vibrant and interesting members of the band of young heroes.
Because Titans season 3 is situated in Gotham City and features numerous references to the Batman mythos, episodes feel as if they’re presenting two narratives at once. If they were split and given more opportunities to fill out, they would profit and be stronger.
While the season seems to be entertaining, the Titans’ pace has been a source of concern. Many narratives and ideas felt rushed throughout the 13-episode seasons.
Other Titans’ stories include Hawk and Dove’s ongoing problematic relationship, Beast Boy’s desire to evolve as a hero, and Starfire’s unexplainable visions.

Clearly, a linked “Nightwing” spinoff series would have benefitted the Titans world by handling the Gotham-heavy arcs with Dick, Jason, Barbara, and the rest of the “Bat-Family” while simultaneously tying to the main Titans narrative, enabling the other heroes to shine.
The show has yet to release the anticipated arcs with Raven and Donna Troy, as well as the next Robin, Tim Drake. And this season is already jam-packed, with the writers unable to focus on a single theme for long enough to make it significant, which is the fundamental problem.
There’s nothing wrong with any of the stories provided as part of Titans’ greater plot, and nothing appears to be unnecessary.
Despite the fact that Titans is attempting to do the work of two shows, there are some noteworthy moments and characters. In any case, let’s hope the rest of Titans season 3 can focus on a small number of arcs in order to fix the show’s pacing concerns.
