The Suicide Squad Proves WB Learned the Wrong Lessons From BvS

Published by

The Suicide Squad Updates: As we all know The Suicide Squad had been failing to entertain its audiences and was unable to hit the box office as per expectations.
On the other hand, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice had a wonderful opening at the box office but unfortunately it experienced a drastic fall in the second week of its release, as a result of which  Justice League’s principal photography shoot was delayed to rewrite the scripts along with rewriting and reshooting the scenes of The Suicide Squad adding more humor and starting a chain reaction the DCEU has been unable to recover from as WB continues to try to escape the shadow of the Snyder era.
Now, five years later they are figuring out the red spots. Warner Bros. have always rushed towards hitting the box office and compete with MCU without thinking of the fact that Feige’s patience and dedication towards building his foundation.
The Suicide Squad, though received positive reactions on release fails to grow eagerness in its audience which was one of the gaps made by WB. Also, without building their unique film content, they focussed more on emulating MCU movies.
The comedy and style seemed to be copied from Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy with many other elements in other movies. But all their smart work went in vain.
After a couple of rotten tomato movies from DCEU, Wonder Woman and Aquaman had received acceptance in the theatres with a positive response bringing some good amount towards their foundation. Even the most expensive movie of this franchise i.e., Justice League has faced the greatest loss to date.

The Suicide Squad Revealed

ScreenRant
Shazam! and Birds of Prey are two of the DCEU’s best-reviewed movies, but also represent the franchise’s lowest-grossing movies so far (other than The Suicide Squad).
This time for The Suicide Squad, WB had hired James Gunn, instead of the former MCU director Whedon who himself was unwilling to do the movie as he already joined late and couldn’t work from the ground level.
It received huge praise from viewers and score 100% on Rotten Tomatoes but this did not help it to become a box office success. If the pandemic had not been there, this movie would have been the biggest blockbuster of this franchise.
Since the release of Batman vs Superman WB has been releasing lighter-weight movies including Justice League which is probably the most humorous among them. In the case of Justice League or BvS, both were not properly planned and were rewritten and reshot which made them a bit clumsy.
