Tehran Season 2: Veteran Actress Glenn Close joins the cast of the Apple TV Series

Tehran Season 2 Updates: Spy thriller series Tehran has cast Academy Award-nominated actress Glen Close for season 2 of the series, in a part that is reported to have been created especially for her.
Apple TV+’s Tehran follows Tamar Rabinyan, an Iranian-born, Israeli-raised spy who is sent back into Iran to infiltrate Tehran under a false identity. It is her first deep-cover mission and she must help coordinate an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear program.
Unfortunately, the mission fails and Tamar finds herself trapped in a new dangerous place. Season 1 of the series had 8 episodes. The series aired on Israeli television network Kan 11 before Apple TV+ picked up the series in June 2020 and began streaming it around the world on September 25. Tehran Season 1 became critically acclaimed.
It was praised for its ability to showcase global political espionage with such a personal and humane touch. Tehran was renewed for a second season by Apple TV+ in January 2021.

Glenn Close in Tehran Season 2

Deadline recently reported that Oscar-nominated actress Glen Close has joined Tehran as a lead in Season 2 of this Apple TV+ spy thriller series. According to Deadline, Close is a big fan of the series and was interested in reading the new role that show creators Moshe Zonder and Omri Shehar had created for her.
The actress will play the role of Marjan Montazeri, a British woman living in Tehran. Nothing more is known about the character.
Over the years, Glen Close has created many iconic roles including Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians and Alex Forrest in Glen Close. Tehran will be Close’s third series where she will be a series regular. The two-time Emmy Awards winner and eight-time Academy Awards nominee is a perfect addition to this critically acclaimed espionage thriller series. Close’s fans will hope that Tehran will win the actress her third Emmy and continue her awards recognition.
Tehran is created by Moshe Zonder, Omri Shenhar, Dana Eden, and Maor Kohn and features Shaun Toub, Navid Negahban, Shervin Albani, Liraz Chart, and Menashe Noy.
