Sylvester Stallone Confirms The Expendables 4 Spinoff Starts Filming In October

The Expendables 4 Updates: Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that a sequel to The Expendables will begin filming in October.
In 2010, Stallone launched The Expendables series with an ensemble Dirty Dozen-style action picture that brought together several renowned action actors from the 1980s and 1990s to cooperate on a new franchise.
Stallone directed the first film, which was popular enough to generate two sequels, The Expendables 2 in 2012 and The Expendables 3 in 2014. Since then, there has been a lot of back-and-forth about sequels and a possible all-female spin-off, but nothing has materialized until now.
Stallone’s Barney Ross is the head of a squad of ex-military mercenaries known as The Expendables who take on high-risk assignments all around the world.

Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford, and Mel Gibson are among the numerous action icons that have joined the cast of the series.
Stallone came to Instagram today to share a photo of someone’s intricate arm tattoo of his Expendables character Barney Ross, as well as the announcement that he’ll be shooting a spinoff of The Expendables called Christmas Story in October.
A Statham Expendables spinoff has already been rumored but never confirmed, so this fits. Stallone recently debuted a ring he created for The Expendables 4, and actor Randy Couture hinted that the film will begin filming this fall. It’s probable that The Expendables 4 and the sequel are the same things.
Since Stallone and Statham’s characters are close friends throughout the previous three films, this spinoff might be more of a pair than an ensemble. As is customary with Stallone, he’ll most likely announce it on Instagram when the time comes.
