Space Jam: New legacy released November 1, The film follows the first Space Jam with stars LeBron James and his son, Dom. Don Cheadle’s character, Speedy, must join the Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and other Looney Tunes to win the most important basketball game.
Despite the negative reviews, the film proved to be a success in the box when it had a great family opening of the Covid-19 epidemic family film.
Iglesias said he grew up as a big fan of Speedy Gonzalez and was honored to be asked for an actor’s voice without an interview. He also revealed that he was asked if he wanted to change the character’s voice at all, but he refused. The jokes also said, “that was so amazing that they would give me that power”.

Iglesias revealed that he had been invited to play the role of Speedy Gonzalez, but the producers were not sure he would be able to make a voice. This made him wonder: “How did I get this part?” before seeing the “Oh, they needed a big brown shield” He took this with a good sense of humor, though, and he enjoyed playing the iconic character.
Iglesias did an excellent job of drawing Speedy Gonzalez in the film. It is understandable why he wanted to keep the word as it was in order to meet the expectations of fans. While joking about being the “big, brown shield” of Warner Bros., his exposure to the character goes a long way in alleviating some of the trauma surrounding the character.
While some will be offended by Speedy’s exposure, it is encouraging to watch Iglesias take pride in his role and have the freedom to choose how he expresses the character. Speedy Gonzalez cartoons are currently being broadcast with a statement explaining that they are the products of their time, a wise decision made by Warner Bros. It is encouraging to see that this studio has the past and is trying to move forward, for better or for worse.
