The Boys Season 3 Updates: Prior to the complete appearance of Soldier Boy’s original super-team, Payback, in season 3, the Boys sneakily exposed the squad in previous seasons.
Soldier Boy’s first superteam, Payback, has been leaked ahead of their season 3 premiere on The Boys. Following the announcement that Amazon Prime Video’s blockbuster superhero program will return for a third season, fans began to speculate about which characters from Garth Ennis and Darrick Roberton’s comics may appear. Jensen Ackles was cast as Soldier Boy in season 3 of The Boys, which premiered just before season 2.
Soldier Boy is a comic book supporting character that is a spoof of Captain America. Soldier Boy is notorious for wetting himself in combat, rather than being the strong patriotic leader like Steve Rogers is. Early in Season 2 of The Boys, Vought’s original superhero references were used to set up his appearance.
With season 3 filming started, Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy costume appears to have revealed much more about him. He’s on the verge of joining The Seven, but The Boys have already exposed his original squad.
Soldier Boy is the captain of Payback, Vought’s second most popular team in the comics. Eric Kripke, the showrunner of The Boys, has hinted that Soldier Boy’s relationship with Payback would be explored in season 3. Soldier Boy’s comrades on the original squad comprised Tek Knight, Stormfront, Swatto, Mind-Droid, Crimson Countess, and Eagle the Archer.
They’ve been referred to as “The Seven” before The Seven ever existed. That paints a rather bleak image of Payback in Season 3 of The Boys. Even though they’re only now being revealed, the program has been laying the groundwork for them since nearly the beginning.

Stormfront introduced herself greatly in season 2 of the Boys. To date, any payback member might possibly have had the largest contribution. The almost untold Nazis remade themselves for the 21st century, although she probably fought back in the day together with Soldier Boy.
The Boys season 2 also played, but in a completely different capacity, a modest role for Eagle the Archer. He contributed to The Deep being converted to the collective church, and the link between the version of Eagle the Archer and the original Payback squad is unknown.
In the meantime, there was a mention of a Tek Knight movie and it breaks the back of a lady and proves its existence in this reality. The first Boys season even referred to the Countess of Crimson because Starlight assumed the seven would join rather than her.
Since The Boys has yet to confirm Payback ties for most of these people, it will be interesting to see what is revealed about the squad in season 3. This might be the scene in which founding members such as Swatto and Mind-Droid make their first appearance.
Payback may only be seen in flashbacks, depending on the reason offered for Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy. The past is an excellent opportunity to investigate Payback and bring the remaining members to life. It may even be an opportunity to create some of the original Supes mantles that Vought wants to relaunch in the present day with a new face behind the armor.
