Rick and Morty Season 5 Updates: Adult Swim has released a new Rick and Morty season 5 teaser, suggesting the return of Space Wars and more Smith family clones.
Adult Swim has released a new Rick and Morty season 5 teaser, hinting at the return of Space Wars and more Smith family clones. The adult animated comedy by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon follows the titular mad scientist and his grandson as they travel through several other eras with Rick’s portal pistol.
Roiland plays Rick and Morty, while Spencer Grammer plays Rick’s granddaughter and Morty’s sister Summer, Sarah Chalke plays Smith family matriarch Beth, and Chris Parnell plays Smith patriarch Jerry.
The successful animated series originated as a spoof of Back to the Future by Roiland before Adult Swim teamed up with him and Harmon to expand it into a full-length show. Since its debut in 2013, the series has earned acclaim from critics and audiences alike, earning two Primetime Emmy Awards, the network’s first after Robot Chicken had many nominations but no wins. With Rick and Morty’s season 5 now started, the network is creating excitement for what’s to come by teasing the return of an interesting plotline.

Following the release of a 5 season premiere on YouTube free of charge for Rick and Morty, Adult Swim published the teaser for “Mortyplicity” for the following season. Besides tingling Rick with a new threat, the teaser suggests that Space Wars is returning and that more family clones are taking place. Look at the following new teaser:
Although some might not have as much in relation to season 4 as other chapters, the finale saw the interesting choice to go back to the Beth clone tale of Season 3 and develop the complete parody of Star Wars around it. As the episode ended when Beth became friends and Rick realized that he didn’t know who the original is anymore, it was a solemn way to finish the season while still opening the door to Space Beth’s comeback.
The “Mortyplicity” teaser may not confirm her reappearance, but it does not only reinforce the continuation of the Story of Space Beth but also the introduction of the clones of the other family members
Given the timid nature of Jerry and Morty, either of their clones seems unlikely to hunt Rick like Space Beth did yet a comparable conflict can be felt by Sommers’ increased confidence.
The survival of Phoenixperson does indicate that a new space war can begin if it cannot be effectively remedied by Rick and Morty after the events of Season 4. While the Galactic Federation is essentially annihilated. Only when season 5 returns this Sunday will time tell where the writer’s room will take the series.
