The Avengers Updates: Recently a Reddit user posted fan art of the old 2012 Avengers poster with a little bit of a twist to it, the twist being that the Avengers cast we know and love were changed to the actors who could have been the Avengers and were even considered for it.
This gave us a whole new perspective of how far Marvel has come with their films and how their Cinematic Universe could have been so radically different from the personalities of other actors, such as Tom Hiddleston as Thor and Tom Cruise as Iron Man, who are imagined to play Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the Avengers fan-art.
It’s been over ten years since Marvel Studios wrapped up Phase 1 with the first Avengers film in 2012 where all our favorite superheroes united forces to defeat Loki who has now turned into a somewhat superhero. Many additional characters have been introduced to the MCU since then.

Its founding members, on the other hand, have remained fan favorites over the years. It is a fact that Tom Hiddleston did indeed audition for the part of Thor and the director was shocked at how ripped he was for the part and praised his commitment but it didn’t work out and Chris Hemsworth who at the time wasn’t a famous actor was cast, the same happened with Downey Jr a brilliant actor but a huge gamble for the casting team.
Another switch in the poster was of John Krasinski being Captain America and Emily Blunt portraying Black Widow but actually, there are persistent reports that real-life couple Krasinski and Blunt will play Reed Richards and Sue Storm in the filmmaker Jon Watts’ upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, even though they aren’t Captain America and Black Widow, the duo may have another chance to join the franchise.
The pair has been contacted several times to comment on casting, but they have insisted that the rumors are false, how sad. Till now only Hiddleston has been cast out of the mentioned actors but who knows with Marvel’s what is coming up, there may be a chance to get these incredible stars a place in the Marvel family.
